Shuckers has been shucking oysters off Wade's Place since 2008, on the stretch near Amelia Island Parkway where several of the island's genuinely local restaurants cluster. Oysters are the headline; local Mayport shrimp and Southern plates fill out the rest.
It runs live music most nights, which makes it one of the more reliable places on the island to find a band midweek.
What to expect
An oyster bar and grill format — raw and steamed oysters, fried baskets, shrimp, and a full bar, with music most evenings. It is casual and it is loud when the band plays.
Oysters are seasonal and sourcing changes; ask what is on the shell today rather than assuming.
