Tasty's is a burger-and-fries counter at the top end of Centre Street. It is fast, it is cheap by island standards, and it is the most reliable way to feed a family downtown for under the price of one waterfront entrée.
It is not trying to be a restaurant. It is trying to be a very good burger, and that is a category Fernandina Beach genuinely needs alongside its seafood rooms.
What to expect
Order at the counter, wait for your number. Burgers, fries and shakes, cooked to order — which means a short wait even though it is fast food in format.
Seating is limited, and it fills at lunch. Takeaway is a perfectly good plan: the top of Centre Street is five minutes' drive from the beach.
Where it sits, and where to park
710 Centre Street sits at the top of the downtown run, where Centre begins to open out towards 8th Street. Parking is generally easier here than the marina end; downtown rules still apply — see the parking guide.

Quick tips
- Cooked to order — fast food format, not fast food speed.
- Limited seating; takeaway to the beach works well.
- One of the cheapest family meals in the district.
